About this game
Decrypto: clear to your team, obscure to your opponents
Your team knows four secret words, but the opposing team hears every clue. Each round, communicate a three-digit code without giving away too much. A clue that is too vague can confuse teammates; one that is too clear can help an interception.

This is the French base game by Le Scorpion Masqué, available for preorder. It supports 3–8 players aged 12+, around 30 minutes. Normal play uses two teams of 2–4; a dedicated variant supports three players.
Words, codes and clues
Each team places four numbered keyword cards in a screen. The words stay the same throughout the game. A round's encryptor secretly draws a Code card and gives three ordered clues referring to the corresponding words. Teammates try to reconstruct the sequence while opponents record clues and look for patterns.
Two successful interceptions win the game. Two miscommunications lose it. Rotate the encryptor and keep notes: previous clues become evidence for later guesses.
Choosing the French edition
The game relies on word meanings and shared associations, so language matters. All keyword cards and rules in this edition are in French. It is standalone and replayable, with 440 words to vary the setup; Laser Drive is not required.
First-game tips
Keep your words hidden from the other team, provide pencils, explain the difference between miscommunication and interception, and follow the rulebook for the opening rounds. Use the specific rules if playing with three.
